The health system did not specify what caused the delays or which imaging services have been affected.<\/p>\n
One patient, Brittany Everett, says she experienced delays after undergoing ultrasounds related to her gallbladder and liver.<\/p>\n
“When I went in December and I had an ultrasound done, then my results were loaded into my MyChart by the time I got to my car. Everett says her experience changed after a follow-up appointment in June. Records from CommonSpirit show she was seen for the ultrasound, but she says the test results were not immediately available in MyChart.<\/p>\n
“I think it was like four or five days before that actually even showed that I had been there as a patient and been seen. It did say that I had been seen for an ultrasound, but under test results there was nothing,” Everett says.<\/p>\n
She says weeks later, she’s still waiting for her imaging results to appear.<\/p>\n
“Two weeks later and there’s nothing been uploaded to my chart.”<\/p>\n
In their statement, CommonSpirit says dedicated teams across affected facilities are working around the clock to restore full service as quickly and safely as possible. <\/p>\n

We deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused our patients,\u201d the health system says. \u201cWe understand that healthcare decisions are deeply personal and critically important, and you deserve timely and clear information.\u201d<\/p>\n
The hospital says it’s deploying additional resources, exploring other solutions to reduce the impact on patients, and reviewing every case to ensure urgent and emergency imaging needs continue to be met.<\/p>\n
Patients whose appointments are affected will be contacted directly, according to the health system.<\/p>\n
But Everett says she’s still looking for answers…<\/p>\n
“I paid almost $400 to have an ultrasound done, and I’ve been waiting six months for the results.”<\/p>\n
Everett says she hopes patients will receive more information soon.<\/p>\n
“What is their plan to address that and get people more timely, accurate results? That would probably be my question,” Everett says.<\/p>\n
