Mallorca\u2019s relegation to the Segunda Division has completely altered the landscape surrounding Jan Virgili\u2019s future, and Barcelona are already exploring the possibility of bringing the winger back to the club.<\/p>\n

According to SPORT<\/a>, contact has been established between Bar\u00e7a and Mallorca over a potential return for the 19-year-old, who departed last summer in a deal worth \u20ac3.5 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Less than a year later, circumstances have changed significantly, turning the operation into a potentially attractive market opportunity.<\/p>\n

It must be remembered that the player\u2019s release clause was reduced from \u20ac30 million to \u20ac12 million on July 1 following Mallorca\u2019s relegation, while Barcelona retain a 40% stake in any future sale as well as a right of first refusal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In this regard, the Catalans could recover the player for just \u20ac7 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite the growing speculation, the outlet mentions that Virgili reported back for pre-season with Mallorca and completed his medical examinations as normal, awaiting clarity over what comes next.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, within Camp Nou, Deco is believed to be seriously considering the possibility of re-signing the former academy talent<\/a>, although a final decision has yet to be made.<\/p>\n

Barcelona\u2019s sporting department had already been informed of the situation several weeks ago and are now evaluating whether the winger fits into Hansi Flick\u2019s plans for the coming campaign.<\/p>\n

At the moment, strengthening the flanks is not among Bar\u00e7a\u2019s immediate priorities, especially with Raphinha, Anthony Gordon, Roony Bardghji and Lamine Yamal already competing for places.<\/p>\n
