\n\tApple TV<\/a> has handed a series order to Guilty Creatures<\/a>, a new thriller based on Mikita Brottman<\/a>\u2018s acclaimed true-crime book Guilty Creatures: Sex, God<\/a>, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida, starring and executive produced by Emmy winner Julia Garner<\/a> (Ozark, Weapons). Craig Gillespie<\/a> (I, Tonya, Your Friends & Neighbors, Pam & Tommy), will direct and Stuart Zicherman (The Shrink Next Door, Sweetbitter, The Americans) will serve as showrunner and executive producer. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe series is produced by Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner, and developed through the studios\u2019 first-look deals with Garner\u2019s Alma Margo and Gillespie\u2019s Fortunate Jack Productions.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdapted for the screen by Sarah DeLappe (Bodies Bodies Bodies), the true crime narrative is set against a backdrop of sex and and murder in the Florida panhandle. The series delves into the psyche of a torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers, unraveling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years.<\/p>\n

\n\tMarty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner will executive produce through Tomorrow Studios, along with Garner through Alma Margo. Zicherman serves as executive producer alongside DeLappe. Gillespie and Annie Marter executive produce through Fortunate Jack Productions. Brottman will also serve as an executive producer.<\/p>\n

\n\tGarner, best known for her work on Netflix series Ozark, will next be seen starring opposite Anthony Boyle in limited series The Altruists, also on the streamer. She also serves as executive producer. Garner is currently in production opposite Charlize Theron in the Amazon MGM Studios pic\u00a0Tyrant\u00a0from David Weil, who is directing from a script he wrote. She will also appear in the upcoming season of Apple TV\u2019s The Studio. Last year she starred in two of 2025 biggest hits in Marvel\u2019s\u00a0The Fantastic Four: First Steps\u00a0and the Oscar-nominated horror thriller\u00a0Weapons. Other notable film and television credits include\u00a0The Royal Hotel, The Assistant, Grandma, Maniac, Dirty John,\u00a0and\u00a0The Americans. Garner is repped by UTA, LBI Entertainment, and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tGillespie most recently directed DC\u2019s Supergirl and directed episodes of Your Friends & Neighbors and the Hulu miniseries Pam & Tommy. He and his Fortunate Jack Productions are repped by CAA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.<\/p>\n

\n\tZicherman recently developed the first season of FX series American Sports Story featuring Aaron Hernandez. He also served as showrunner\/executive producer on The Shrink Next Door and has written on shows including The Americans, Sweetbitter and The Affair, among others. Zicherman is repped by Mosaic Media Group, UTA, and MFW. <\/p>\n
