This past year, we\u2019ve been blessed with a heavenly host of celestial phenomena, and the entrants of the ZWO Astronomy Photographer of the Year<\/a> contest have captured stunning images of many of them. Administered by the Royal Observatory Greenwich, the competition rewards the best photographers in nine different categories\u2014from skyscapes to deep-space objects.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Below are just a slice of the entries shortlisted to win (out of the nearly 4,000 entries received). The winners will be announced on September 17th.<\/p>\n
