PARKERSBURG \u2013 The shelter in place established east of the Peoples Cartage warehouse fire has been rescinded.<\/p>\n

The Wood County 911 Center announced the change on its Facebook page, saying air monitoring data showed levels below the minimum thresholds.<\/p>\n

Smoke from the fire had largely dissipated just before noon.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fire is approximately 95% extinguished,\u201d said Wood County 911 Director Dale McEwuen. \u201cWhat they are doing now is they are checking some hot spots where they know some heat is still coming from.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are going to get into those spots and put the fire out there in those small locations.\u201d<\/p>\n
