\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Alfie Williams<\/a> (28 Years Later, Bone Temple)\u00a0and Ryan Kiera Armstrong<\/a> (Lowdown)\u00a0will lead\u00a0and Pete Holmes<\/a> (Crashing, Woman of The Hour),\u00a0Lewis\u00a0Black\u00a0(Inside Out, The Daily Show, Accepted), and Adam Ray (The Adam Ray Show, Jackass: Best and Last) will co-star in the indie feature drama Friend Thing<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tSociety, the production company founded by commercial director Harry Calbom, is behind the film. <\/p>\n

\n\tFriend Thing\u00a0is set in Seattle during the spring of 1996, at the height of the city\u2019s cultural influence. Fourteen-year-old Ernie Calder, a thoughtful scholarship student at an elite Catholic school, finds himself torn between lifelong friendships and the allure of a charismatic new girl. As first love, social ambition, and heartbreak pull him in a new direction, a devastating family tragedy forces him to confront what truly matters. Against the backdrop of Seattle\u2019s grunge era and the last years before the internet transformed adolescence,\u00a0Friend Thing\u00a0explores friendship, identity, loss, and belonging. Cameras roll in August in Seattle.<\/p>\n

\n\tWilliams starred as the lead of Danny Boyle\u2019s\u00a028 Years Later\u00a0and its sequel\u00a028 Years Later: The Bone Temple, directed by Nia DaCosta. He is represented by Gersh stateside and Independent Talent in the UK.<\/p>\n

\n\tArmstrong starred opposite Jude Law in Disney+\u2019s\u00a0Star Wars: Skeleton Crew\u00a0and has a recurring role opposite Ethan Hawke in FX\u2019s\u00a0The Lowdown. Her additional credits include\u00a0It: Chapter Two,\u00a0Black\u00a0Widow,\u00a0Firestarter, and\u00a0American Horror Story: Red Tide. She is represented by Innovative Artists and Linden Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tBlack\u00a0plays Father Briggs, the school\u2019s exacting headmaster. Ray, who also serves as an executive producer on the film, plays DJ Marco Collins, a real Seattle radio figure central to the story\u2019s cultural world. Holmes plays Mr. Greeley, a homeroom teacher who\u2019s quietly become the moral compass of a school built on faith he doesn\u2019t share.\u00a0<\/p>\n
