The
\nUnited States\u2019 recent strikes on Iran left 14 people dead and wounded 78
\nothers, the semi-official Fars News Agency reported on Thursday, citing sources
\nwithin the country\u2019s Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n
A
\nfirefighter was killed in a strike on Iranshahr Airport in southeastern Iran,
\nalso damaging the facility’s flight operations building and meteorological
\nstation. Three more people died near Ahvaz in Khuzestan province.<\/p>\n
A railway
\nbridge in Aqqala, a city in northern Iran\u2019s Golestan province, was hit,
\nsuspending passenger services on the Tehran-Mashhad route. Meanwhile, Chabahar,
\na port city on the northern coast of the Gulf of Oman, experienced power
\noutages and several explosions. Debris from the strikes struck a hospital,
\nwhile two piers and a maritime traffic control tower were also targeted.
\nSeveral injuries were reported in the incidents.<\/p>\n
The Earlier
\nIranian Army previously reported that eight of its members were killed<\/a> in
\n\u201ccriminal US aggression\u201d strikes on Bandar Abbas and Bushehr.<\/p>\n
\non Thursday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) disclosed<\/a> striking 90 military sites
\nalong Iran\u2019s coastline, claiming that the operation was designed to weaken
\nTehran\u2019s ability to target commercial shipping and civilian mariners in the
\nStrait of Hormuz, one of the world\u2019s busiest maritime trade routes.<\/p>\n
