And not the good kind.<\/p>\n<p>The former NFL defensive end and ESPN\/Fox personality was arrested over the weekend <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/marcellus-wiley-was-released-from-custody-sunday-night-on-1-000-bond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">for domestic battery<\/a>. On Monday, his wife <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/marcellus-wileys-wife-files-for-divorce-restraining-order\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">made very strong allegations<\/a> against him in divorce paperwork and in a request for a restraining order.<\/p>\n<p>Wiley has posted on social media clear, loud denials as to the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/marcellus-willey-completely-and-unequivocally-denies-allegation-of-domestic-battery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">alleged battery<\/a>, and as to the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/marcellus-wiley-responds-to-divorce-allegations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">claims made<\/a> by his wife in court filings.<\/p>\n<p>Wiley has yet to deny this one: TMZ reported on Wednesday that Preferred Bank sued Wiley in December 2025 for <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/07\/08\/marcellus-wiley-sued-by-bank-months-before-arrest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">failing to satisfy a $500,000 loan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Per TMZ, Wiley and his company, Dat Dude Entertainment, borrowed the money in May 2023, promising to pay it back after one year. The bank, per TMZ, claims it didn\u2019t receive the money or the associated interest. Wiley allegedly received multiple extensions until December 2025, when the bank then filed suit.<\/p>\n<p>As of this posting, Wiley has not addressed the TMZ report.<\/p>\n<p>Wiley spent 10 years in the NFL, playing for the Chargers, Bills, Cowboys, and Jaguars.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Marcellus Wiley, as they say, is having a moment.
