PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — This week on FYI Philly, we have an All-Star lineup as MLB brings its stars to Philadelphia, take a midsummer shopping spree on Market Street, celebrate a new exhibit honoring America’s centennial and dine with a view down the shore.<\/p>\n
The 2026 MLB All-Star Game<\/a> is at Citizens Bank Park Philadelphia on July 14 and along with all the big stars on the field, there will be plenty of fun for fans around the city.<\/p>\n The Capital One All-Star Village at the Pennsylvania Convention Center is a fan experience for the ages.<\/p>\n There are legendary stars to meet, interactive attractions to try and baseball history that celebrates the game’s biggest moments.<\/p>\n If you’re lucky enough to attend the Midsummer Classic at Citizens Bank Park, there will be an all-star collection of food on the menu at the ballpark.<\/p>\n Food includes Philadelphia favorites and a gathering of signature dishes from around the league.<\/p>\n Plus, Major League Baseball in conjunction with Phillies Charities, Inc. are donating more than $5.5 million to local charities as part of the Legacy Initiative.<\/p>\n Started in 1997, the project leaves a legacy in the hosting city of an All-Star Game.<\/p>\n This year’s recipients include the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Veterans Multi-Service Center, Miracle Leagues of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Tree House Books, Ashburn Field at FDR Park and The Philadelphia Stars Negro League Memorial Park.<\/p>\n Capital One All Star Village<\/a> | Facebook <\/a>| Instagram<\/a> With so many visitors in town for the FIFA World Cup<\/a>, Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game<\/a>, as well as locals looking for new shops to check out, Meantime on Market shines bright this summer.<\/p>\n The residency is designed to reignite the Market East corridor by filling vacant storefronts with retailers who bring great Philly energy.<\/p>\n It is the first phase of a long-term revitilization of Market East, with something for everyone and a vibrant addition to the Center City shopping scene.<\/p>\n You can visit these pop-up shops through July: Almost Famous<\/a> (fashion), Clubfriends Radio & Records<\/a> (record store & listening room), Two Persons Coffee<\/a> (beverages), Rarify<\/a> (collectible furniture), Harriett’s Audio Bookshop<\/a> (books and audio), Immigant Marche – The Welcoming Center<\/a> (multicultural marketplace), Love Now Media <\/a> (event space), Siddiq’s Water Ice <\/a> (water ice & snacks).<\/p>\n Meantime on Market<\/a> | Instagram<\/a> Revisit 1876 explores Philadelphia’s Centennial Exposition through historic artifacts, immersive displays, and stories from four of the fair’s major pavilions.<\/p>\n The new exhibit is inside the old Lits Department Store at 8th and Market streets.<\/p>\n The Centennial was the first World’s Fair in North America, and it drew nearly 10 million people from around the world to Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n Visitors can see how the event introduced inventions like Alexander Graham Bell’s telephone and the Remington typewriter, showcased industrial might, and brought surprising novelties-including the banana and a suitcase that converted to a bathtub.<\/p>\n The exhibit, created by Center City District, also examines who was excluded from the celebration and connects the 1876 fair to Philadelphia today.<\/p>\n Open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through December <\/p>\n Revisit 1876<\/a> Summer is in full swing and we found three must-visit Jersey Shore restaurants you need to try!<\/p>\n At the Crabhouse at Two Mile Landing in Wildwood Crest, you can get a taste of blue claw crabs and lobster with an ocean view.<\/p>\n Fan favorites include tuna poke nachos, fried sea bass tacos, house-made ceviche, and the over-the-top Crabby Mary.<\/p>\n Enjoy live music, boat access, and room for up to 1,800 guests. Then, you see them about ten years later when they’re reunited.
