\nHunters in the Twin Lakes area, and around Arkansas may get the opportunity to hunt an alligator. <\/p>\n
\nApplications for the 2026 alligator hunting season are available until July 31st, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission announced. <\/p>\n
\nApplicants may choose from multiple designated public hunting areas.<\/p>\n
\nPermit availability by zone is as follows:<\/p>\n
\nAlligator Management Zone 1 <\/p>\n
\n-Millwood Lake \u2013 13 permits available (harvest quota of 9 alligators)<\/p>\n
\n-Dr. Lester Sitzes III Bois D\u2019Arc Lake \u2013 5 permits available <\/p>\n
\n-Little River WMA \u2013 2 permits available<\/p>\n
\n-Lake Erling \u2013 1 permit available<\/p>\n
\nAlligator Management Zone 2<\/p>\n
\n-Bragg Lake \u2013 1 permit available<\/p>\n
\n-Lake Columbia \u2013 2 permits available<\/p>\n
\nAlligator Management Zone 3<\/p>\n
\n-Lower Arkansas River Wetland Complex (Arkansas River backwaters near Arkansas Post) \u2013 11 permits available<\/p>\n
\n-Yellow Lake (Pine Bluff Arsenal) \u2013 2 permits available<\/p>\n
\n-Delta Wetland Complex \u2013 5 permits available (Lake Wallace, Lake Enterprise, Lake Chicot, Grand Lake and Wilson Brake Reservoir)<\/p>\n
\nApplicants must be atleast 16 years old and hold a valid Arkansas hunting license. Applicants with 18 or more AGFC violation points are ineligible to apply. Applicants must pay a $5 non-refundalbe processing fee. Successful applicants and private land hunters must also complete an online hunt orientation before going to the field.<\/p>\n
