He said they are currently discussing bringing in a third party contractor to aid Metroparks staff in cleaning the course.<\/p>\n<p>Mill Creek is also home to several golf events over the summer, Young says organizers for this weeks scheduled events have been contacted about rescheduling, but future events have not yet been addressed.<\/p>\n<p>                        <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAAQAAAADCAQAAAAe\/WZNAAAAEElEQVR42mM8U88ABowYDABAxQPltt5zqAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==\" alt=\"Tree down at mill creek\" class=\"img-responsive lazyload full blur\" width=\"1247\" height=\"1663\" data- data-\/><\/p>\n<p>             <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/6a4c2e35075ef.image.jpg\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" loading=\"lazy\" height=\"267\" width=\"200\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Todd Franko, the owner of the annual Greatest Golfer event, said he is hopeful that the tournament will still be held at Mill Creek Park this season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the golf economy there\u2019s fundraisers, there\u2019s our event, there\u2019s a lot of people that look forward to their annual golf events,\u201d Franko explained. \u201cSo it\u2019s a key facility and we\u2019re optimistic that the guys know what they\u2019re doing and we\u2019re just eager for them to pull through, because mother nature gave them a test.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Young said that no members of the Mill Creek staff have considered shutting the course down for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do anticipate reopening the golf course, but at this early juncture it\u2019s dependent on the success of the cleanup efforts that are ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Franko told 21 News that regardless of whether or not the park is open the Greatest Golfer tournament will still be played, just at a different course in the valley.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had some storms in the past that have had us doing some shuffling at the last minute.
