Nelly Korda has drawn comparisons to Scottie Scheffler the last three years. Friday offered an association neither desired.<\/p>\n

Hours after Scheffler locked up his first missed cut on the PGA Tour in four years<\/a>, Korda ended her two-year run on the LPGA.<\/p>\n

Korda needed to birdie her final hole in Round 2 of the Amundi Evian Championship to guarantee her safety, but left her effort inches short. She shot 2-under 69 to finish at 1 over, one too many to make the weekend.<\/p>\n

She finished tied for 67th \u2014 with the top 65 and ties making the cut \u2014 snapping a streak of 34 cuts made in official LPGA Tour events. Her last missed cut was in the 2024 KPMG Women\u2019s PGA Championship \u2014 a season in which she won seven times.<\/p>\n

Korda has three wins this year, including in the first two majors (Chevron, U.S. Women\u2019s Open). She tied for eighth in major No. 3, the KPMG Women\u2019s PGA, matching her worst individual result in \u201926.<\/p>\n

Until Friday.<\/p>\n

After opening in 3-over 74, Korda got back to even par with three birdies in 12 holes in Round 2. But a bogey at the par-4 17th, where she left a 10-foot save short, dropped her below the projected cut line.<\/p>\n

Playing the par-5 18th \u2014 the easiest hole at Evian Resort Golf Club \u2014 Korda missed the fairway with her tee shot and laid up. Her approach shot finished 15 feet beyond the flag, and just as she did the hole prior, she left short a putt she needed to make.<\/p>\n

Korda was tied for 67th when she signed her card, with players still on the course. Her position briefly changed to T-65 but settled into its ultimate spot outside the number.<\/p>\n

She declined for the second straight day to speak with the media.<\/p>\n

Korda is scheduled to compete in next week\u2019s ISPS Handa Scottish Open at Dundonald Links and then the AIG Women\u2019s Open at Royal Lytham and St. Annes, the LPGA\u2019s fifth and final major.<\/p>\n
