JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 A man is in critical but stable condition after police said he was shot in the face following an argument outside a Baymeadows area bar late Friday night.<\/p>\n
Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to My Place Bar and Grill after receiving reports of a shooting, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they found a man in his early 30s suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue transported him to a local hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n
Investigators said the victim was leaving the bar when he bumped into two men near the entrance. The encounter escalated into an argument in the parking lot before one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the victim once in the face.<\/p>\n
Detectives believe the shooting was an isolated incident.<\/p>\n
The suspects are described as two men believed to be in their late 30s to early 40s. Both are about 6 feet tall with medium builds. Police said they were last seen running on foot toward Princeton Square Boulevard.<\/p>\n
Investigators recovered one shell casing at the scene. Detectives are also reviewing surveillance video, interviewing witnesses and processing evidence as the investigation continues.<\/p>\n
Police said they have not yet been able to interview the victim because of the severity of his injuries. It is also unclear whether the victim and the suspects knew each other before the shooting.<\/p>\n
At this time, investigators say there is no indication the shooting was domestic-related or gang-related. Officers also continued canvassing the area to determine whether any nearby homes or businesses were struck by gunfire.<\/p>\n
