PHILADELPHIA \u2013 Hawai’i utility player Ben Zeigler-Namoa<\/a> has been selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 10th round of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft Sunday, taken with the 292nd overall pick.

\nWith his selection, Zeigler-Namoa becomes the 113th Rainbow Warrior all-time to be drafted by a Major League organization. He also marks the seventh Hawai’i player to be picked during the tenure of head coach Rich Hill<\/a>, continuing the program’s strong pipeline to the professional ranks.

\nA versatile left-handed hitter who split time between the outfield and first base, Zeigler-Namoa was a model of consistency and durability during his final collegiate campaign. He was the only Rainbow Warrior to start all 50 games in 2026, earning Honorable Mention All-Big West accolades after anchoring the middle of the Hawai’i lineup. He finished the year with a .294 batting average and a .433 slugging percentage, racking up 57 hits, 33 runs scored, 10 doubles, a triple, and five home runs.

\nZeigler-Namoa was the team’s primary run producer, pacing the Rainbow Warriors with 37 RBIs on the season. He delivered consistently in clutch situations throughout the year, posting a stellar .327 batting average with runners in scoring position. His veteran presence was particularly vital down the stretch, as he hit safely in 22 of his final 28 games, carrying a .327 average over that crucial late-season run to end his collegiate career.
