Christian Bale is one of the most accomplished actors in Hollywood, and yet he drives a surprisingly humble car.<\/p>\n

The Welsh star made $40 million from the first Dark Knight movie alone \u2013 a massive sum in 2008, when inflation was still at bay.<\/p>\n

Today, Bale is apparently still driving a 23-year-old car.<\/p>\n

But there\u2019s a very good reason he refuses to let it go.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s not alone<\/p>\n

Christian Bale is certainly not the only wealthy public figure who doesn\u2019t drive a flashy car.<\/p>\n

Meta\u2019s Mark Zuckerberg, for example, could literally\u00a0buy a new Bugatti\u00a0every day for the next 100 years<\/a> and yet he\u2019s often spotted driving a\u00a0Honda Fit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And the same goes for billionaire investor Warren Buffett.<\/p>\n

Despite being worth $148 billion, he\u00a0drives a (dented) 11-year-old sedan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Another less famous but equally fascinating case is Danilo Gallinari.<\/p>\n

Born in Italy, Gallinari spent pretty much all of his career in the NBA, making him one of the best-paid Italian athletes in history in terms of career earnings.<\/p>\n

And yet, for his entire NBA career, Gallinari kept driving the same Toyota truck he bought in 2008 when he drafted by the NY Knicks.<\/p>\n

The reason why Christian Bale doesn\u2019t want to get rid of his truck<\/p>\n

On screen, Christian Bale has been driving Batmobiles<\/a>\u00a0and Lamborghini.<\/p>\n

But, despite being a multimillionaire and one of the highest-paid actors in the world, Bale apparently still drives a 2003 Toyota Tacoma<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And even though he\u2019s allegedly worth over $120 million, he says he wouldn\u2019t let it go for the world.<\/p>\n

In an\u00a0interview<\/a>\u00a0for the press tour for the film\u00a0Ford V Ferrari, in which Bale plays race car driver Ken Miles, Bale and his co-star, Matt Damon, addressed Bale\u2019s love for the Tacoma.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess it\u2019s surprising because people have this idea that Hollywood stars drive the nicest cars,\u201d the interviewer said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are you saying, the Tacoma is not the nicest car?\u201d Christian Bale joked.<\/p>\n

And when the interviewer said it\u2019s a 2006 truck, Bale promptly \u2018corrected\u2019 her.<\/p>\n

\u201c2003, thank you very much. And second hand!\u201d he said, with a certain degree of excitement.<\/p>\n

Damon revealed why his co-star is so attached to the truck, saying: \u201cI\u2019ll tell you why he\u2019s still driving that \u2013 because he\u2019s hoping that he can put a motorcycle in the flatbed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bale agreed and said: \u201cI\u2019ve been banned from my motorcycles but I\u2019m hoping that one day I\u2019ll be able to put [a motorcycle in the flatbed]. He\u2019s quite right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another reason why he doesn\u2019t want to sell it is very simple: Bale explained elsewhere that he doesn\u2019t really see a reason why he should change his cars as long as they work.<\/p>\n
