Sophie Cunningham is currently one of the biggest stars in the WNBA. It\u2019s unclear if she\u2019s as big in the real world as she is on the Internet, but there is no debate she\u2019s begun to transcend her sport after spending the last two years playing on the same team as Caitlin Clark<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Over the last couple weeks, she\u2019s really taken off. She became a meme<\/a> without embarrassing herself, appeared on FOX\u2019s World Cup coverage<\/a> and acted as an impromptu ring girl at a UFC event<\/a>. Cunningham is clearly seizing every opportunity right now. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s no telling how big she\u2019ll get, but Chuck Klosterman thinks it could be very big. Klosterman appeared on the latest episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast and predicted that she could end up being a candidate for vice president of the United States of America. <\/p>\n

Vice President Sophie Cunningham<\/p>\n

\u201cSophie Cunningham in the next maybe, I\u2019m gonna say, 2050, is going to be vice president of the United States,\u201d Klosterman told Simmons. \u201cShe\u2019s going to be Vice President of the United States. I don\u2019t know what party she\u2019ll be in. I don\u2019t know anything about her political views, but she will be the vice-presidential candidate. At least the candidate.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Cunningham maintains she\u2019s \u201cright down the middle<\/a>,\u201d it\u2019s clear that one side is very interested in her<\/a> as the White House has posted memes of her and she\u2019s been palling around with Dana White<\/a>. <\/p>\n

While retired basketball player and podcaster certainly sounds like someone who will be a vice president in America\u2019s future, Klosterman did not exactly land the plane when it came time to explain his own rational for the prediction. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s something about the fact that she wore those sleeves on the court,\u201d Klosterman continued. \u201cSomething about the way she triggers the inbound plays at the end of games makes me think she will be someone\u2019s ideal vice president.\u201d <\/p>\n

If there\u2019s anything Tim Walz and J.D.
