After being beaten by American \u2060Jordan Lee in Sunday’s Wimbledon boys’ final, Lleyton Hewitt’s son \u200cCruz said his next goal is to \u200cmake the men\u2019s main \u200cdraw of the Australian Open.<\/p>\n
Nearly a \u200cquarter of a century after his \u200cfather won the Wimbledon title in 2002, Cruz<\/a> lost 4-6, 6-4, \u200c7-5<\/a> to Lee<\/a> at the \u2060All \u200cEngland Club.<\/p>\n The 17-year-old was looking to become \u200bthe first Australian boys’ champion at Wimbledon since Luke \u200bSaville in 2011.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like I played some really good tennis \u2060and \u200bit was just a great battle today. Jordan played better and deserved to win,” Hewitt said after \u200chis defeat.<\/p>\n “I am feeling very disappointed but I am proud of my effort to make the final. Obviously I grew up around this tournament and I have seen my dad play here. It’s been a privilege to \u200cplay here.<\/p>\n “That is the dream (playing \u200bin the Australian Open main \u200cdraw).
