Former child star Daveigh Chase\u2019s remains have been given to her mother, Cathy Chase, following her tragic death<\/a> last month, <\/p>\n

The Post, who was the first to exclusively report this news<\/a>, revealed that the death certificate for the late \u201cLilo & Stitch\u201d star showed her body was cremated and her ashes were given to her mother, making her final resting place in Cathy\u2019s Chatsworth, California home.<\/p>\n

The certificate also listed Daveigh\u2019s occupation as \u201cactress\/vocal artist,\u201d despite the fact that she hadn\u2019t worked in years. <\/p>\n

The actress\u2019 death certificate (pictured above) indicates that her body was cremated and the ashes were given to her mother. Obtained by the CA Post<\/p>\n

The actress died June 16 at the age of 35, following a case of meningitis and a blood infection which caused her body to turn septic and eventually shut down. <\/p>\n

Her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, announced the news of her passing. He also created a GoFundMe in the time leading up to her death, asking people to help the voiceover actress \u201cfind comfort and peace\u201d in her final days.<\/p>\n

It was later revealed that Daveigh\u2019s cause of death was attributed to AIDS, with an underlying condition of chronic polysubstance abuse<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Toward the end of her life, \u201cThe Ring\u201d star was said to be living on skid row in Downtown Los Angeles after she fell victim to drug addiction<\/a>. <\/p>\n

After news of her death was reported, Chase\u2019s longtime manager of more than a decade, John Ryan,\u00a0exclusively told The Post<\/a>\u00a0that he and Chase\u2019s stepsister, Gaia Brown, had been working with a private investigator for a year to track her down and get her some help.<\/p>\n

At the end of 2025, Ryan said he was made aware of a video which allegedly showed Chase shockingly skinny and struggling<\/a> on Skid Row.<\/p>\n

Shortly after Daveigh\u2019s death, Cathy shared that she was \u201cdevastated\u201d<\/a> to learn of her daughter\u2019s passing, after having spent much of her time searching online for traces of her \u201csunshine\u201d child. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like something inside of me squeezing all of the air out of me, and at the same time, it felt like I was exploding outwardly,\u201d she told the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

\u201cI let out this guttural scream and I just was running,\u201d she recalled. \u201cAnd these weird sounds were coming out of me, these kind of, like, primeval sounds.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cAnd I went out into the backyard, and I was screaming, \u201cNo, no, no, no!\u201d I am in so much pain but I hope her soul heard me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

When she died, Daveigh had an estate worth $400,000 in personal property<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Court documents reviewed by Page Six on Monday revealed that Cathy has petitioned the court seeking to be named as the administrator of the estate. <\/p>\n
