Joe<\/a> movie at Paramount, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/danny-mcbride\/\" id=\"auto-tag_danny-mcbride\" data-tag=\"danny-mcbride\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Danny McBride<\/a> is now set to make his directorial debut on a new feature film on the classic <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/hasbro\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hasbro\" data-tag=\"hasbro\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hasbro<\/a> toy franchise. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPlot details are being kept under wraps at this time, though sources say this is certainly a high priority at the studio now that McBride is on board to direct.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe popular toy line was initially launched in the 60s as just a soldier toy but was given a boost in the 80s ultimately leading to a very popular animated series. This new version would introduce the commando strike force featuring iconic characters like Duke, Roadblock and Snake Eyes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tParamount has made three G.I. Joe movies, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra which starred Channing Tatum and G.I Joe: Retaliation, which starred Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis. They also released a Snake Eyes spinoff in 2021 starring Henry Golding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMcBride is a New York Times bestselling author, actor, writer, director, and producer. He created and starred in HBO\u2019s\u00a0The Righteous Gemstones, following earlier successes with\u00a0Eastbound &amp; Down\u00a0and\u00a0Vice Principals,\u00a0and recently published his debut book,\u00a0Thrilling Tales of Modern Men.\u00a0Some of his film credits include\u00a0Pineapple Express,\u00a0Tropic Thunder and\u00a0Alien: Covenant, along with voice work in\u00a0Kung Fu Panda 2,\u00a0The Angry Birds Movie and\u00a0The Mitchells vs. The Machines.
