Yemen’s Ansarullah movement (Houthis) leader Abdul-Malik
\nal-Houthi threatened on Thursday to target Saudi oil facilities and vital
\ninfrastructure with missiles and drones if Riyadh becomes involved in an “aggression
\nagainst Yemen.”<\/p>\n
In a speech addressing recent developments in Yemen and the
\nregion, al-Houthi reiterated his rejection of the continued blockade of ports
\nand airports and restrictions on the movement of goods and passengers by Saudi
\nArabia. “The real equation today is Sanaa airport for Riyadh airport,
\nairports for airports, ports for ports, and blockade for blockade.” <\/p>\n
He accused Riyadh of launching a “comprehensive
\naggression” against Yemen instead of supporting de-escalation efforts,
\nsaying the campaign was carried out under US supervision, with British
\ninvolvement and Israeli support.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe period of de-escalation had not produced any clear
\nprogress on humanitarian issues.\u201d <\/p>\n
The Houthi leader also claimed that “joint cells”
\nwere operating directly between Saudi Arabia and Britain, and between Saudi
\nArabia and the United States. Alleging that Israeli aircraft had used Saudi
\nairports for reconnaissance and surveillance missions over Yemeni airspace, he called
\nthis action “a betrayal of the neighborhood and unjust aggression.”<\/p>\n
Al-Houthi thanked Iran for \u201cits assistance in helping Yemen break
\nthe unjust blockade on its airports,\u201d accusing Saudi Arabia of attacking Sanaa
\nInternational Airport without justification. \u201cYemen had not taken any action
\nagainst Riyadh to warrant such attacks.\u201d<\/p>\n
