(WHSV) &#8211; Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance has launched a fundraiser after one of its Downtown Ducklings was taken from outside of the Explore More Discovery Museum on South Main St.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The bronze \u2018Mother Duck\u2019 statue is part of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whsv.com\/2024\/07\/02\/bronze-ducks-earn-downtown-harrisonburg-state-award\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.whsv.com\/2024\/07\/02\/bronze-ducks-earn-downtown-harrisonburg-state-award\/\">award-winning scavenger hunt throughout downtown<\/a>, which includes eight duckling statues, and guides visitors to different businesses and other locations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">HDR posted to social media about the missing statue, and encouraged people who may have information about its removal to email them or Explore more. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">HDR email: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whsv.com\/2026\/07\/17\/fundraiser-launched-after-mother-duck-statue-taken-downtown\/mailto:hdr@harrisonburgva.gov\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.whsv.com\/2026\/07\/17\/fundraiser-launched-after-mother-duck-statue-taken-downtown\/mailto:hdr@harrisonburgva.gov\" target=\"_blank\">hdr@harrisonburgva.gov<\/a> <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Explore More email: info@iExploreMore.com<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The organization also announced it launched a fundraiser with a goal of $4,000 to replace the statue.
