Omaha Public Works has changed traffic signal timing after a crash killed two children near 114th Street and West Center Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Omaha police identify 10-year-old, 5-year-old killed in crash involving suspected drunk driver<\/a> <\/p>\n According to police, a Subaru Impreza was attempting to turn when it was hit by an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu. The impact of the crash ripped the Subaru in half.<\/p>\n Omaha police said 10-year-old Prestin Strassenburg<\/a> and 5-year-old Zaiden Strassenburg were killed as a result of the crash.<\/p>\n Tanner Hunt will be charged with two counts of motor vehicle homicide while driving under the influence in the deadly crash.<\/p>\n Officials said residents had raised safety concerns about the intersection after the July 9 crash, and speed was a factor in the collision.<\/p>\n Previous coverage: Omaha man accused of DUI in crash that killed 10-year-old, 5-year-old faces upgraded charges<\/a><\/p>\n Prosecutors said Hunt was driving at about 98 mph one second before the impact and had a blood alcohol level of .095.<\/p>\n The new timing makes left turns on West Center Road protected only and removes the flashing yellow permitted left turn.<\/p>\n Traffic officials will monitor the intersection and adjust timing as needed.<\/p>\n Mayor John W.
