The
\nUnited States and Iran exchanged fresh strikes for a seventh consecutive night,
\nwith Washington targeting Iranian military infrastructure while Tehran claimed
\nretaliatory attacks on US forces and facilities in Kuwait.<\/p>\n
The US
\nCentral Command (CENTCOM) stated that American forces hit Iranian surveillance
\nsites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage
\nfacilities, and other maritime capabilities.<\/p>\n
“More
\nthan 50,000 American service members are operating across the Middle East and
\nremain vigilant, lethal, and ready,” CENTCOM added.<\/p>\n

\nthe semi-official Tasnim News Agency disclosed that five explosions were heard
\non the outskirts of the city of Yazd, without identifying the locations targeted
\nor providing details on the extent of the damage.<\/p>\n
\nsouthwestern province of Khuzestan, Deputy Governor for Security and Law
\nEnforcement Valiollah Hayati indicated that areas surrounding the city of Ahvaz
\ncame under US fire. The strikes also reached the southern province of Fars,
\nwhere attacks were reported in the cities of Lar and Darab. No preliminary
\ninformation on casualties was immediately available.<\/p>\n
\nofficial news agency IRNA previously noted that US airstrikes between June
\n22 and July 16 killed 38 people and wounded about 400 others.<\/p>\n
\nmeanwhile, retaliated by targeting US forces across the Gulf. The Islamic
\nRevolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed striking a concentration of US troops
\nat the Arifjan Ground Forces Support Center in Kuwait, killing an unspecified
\nnumber of American personnel.<\/p>\n
\nalso asserted that an Iranian drone destroyed a radar system at the US Ali Al
\nSalem Air Base in Kuwait, while another attack destroyed a weapons maintenance
\nhangar and a drone shelter at the base.<\/p>\n
