While some neighborhoods that were devastated in 2025 saw less damage this time, other areas experienced flooding for the first time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Along State Highway 39, cleanup crews worked to remove debris and assess damage to roads as residents began the long process of recovery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">In Hunt, the Bumble Bee Hills neighborhood, which suffered extensive damage during last year\u2019s flooding, was once again impacted. This time, residents said rising water from a nearby creek, rather than the Guadalupe River, caused flooding in several homes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cI looked out the door and between that door and the garage door \u2014 just brown, murky floodwater. Just flowing two-to-three inches deep,\u201d resident Steven Sore said. \u201cNext thing you know, it started coming through the door, and I looked down the hallway and my daughter\u2019s bedroom was filling up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Sore said his family evacuated safely.
