MISSOULA, Mont. \u2014 Missoula will be filled with hunting and outdoor events this weekend as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation hosts its first-ever Big Game Days.<\/p>\n
The event runs Friday through Sunday, with activities scheduled throughout Missoula.<\/p>\n
Adam Heggenstalle, the foundation\u2019s director of communications, joined NBC Montana Today\u2019s Jason Hurst live in studio Friday morning to share what attendees can expect.<\/p>\n
Among the weekend\u2019s events, Snowbowl Resort will host archery courses Friday featuring 25 3D targets set at distances ranging from 25 to 100 yards.<\/p>\n
The World Elk Calling Championships are also scheduled for the weekend at the Wilma.<\/p>\n
RMEF Basecamp will be set up at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation headquarters, where about 30 hunting and outdoor gear vendors are expected, along with an RMEF Sidewalk Sale.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, the TOUGH ELK Workout will take place at Caras Park. The workout is designed by MTNTOUGH to simulate a backcountry hunt, with activities including lunges, box step-overs, squats and rucking.<\/p>\n
Additional Big Game Days events are scheduled throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n
