Additional details about how the person died were also not immediately clear.

At the same time, at least two other people were also confirmed by CFD to have been injured in Fairfax as a result of the flooding. Meanwhile, one person was confirmed to have been injured within Cincinnati itself.

Outside of Fairfax, CFD says that the neighborhoods of Oakley, Hyde Park, and Madisonville also experienced widespread flooding on Friday, with lighter impacts stretching over into Roselawn, Norwood, and Pleasant Ridge.

In total, Cincinnati fire officials say that they received approximately 200 emergency calls for help on Friday, with 40 civilian rescues performed.

According to the department, nearly all of the city’s on-duty firefighters and EMTs responded to flooding calls throughout the course of the evening.

First responders from neighboring Colerain, Green, Delhi and Miami Townships also reportedly assisted the Cincinnati Fire Department during rescue operations.

No first responders were reported to have been injured during the flooding.

“It’s not every day for us that we have resources from Clermont County and the far west of Cincinnati right here in Oakley,” said Assistant Fire Chief Matt Flagler on Saturday while giving an update on CFD’s flood rescue efforts. “It’s not something that we do every day, but it is something we train for all the time. So, very, very proud of our unified city effort. I think that’s what the citizens expect. We’re trying our hardest to deliver that every day. All the city employees are engaged and we’re doing the best we can. Sadly, we know it’s not enough if your house was completely ravaged by flood waters last night, but we’re going to stand by people that are in that situation and help them recover the best we can.”

Flagler added that the Metropolitan Sewer District is now expected to respond to approximately 600 resident calls over the next few days about sewers that were backed up and overflowing on Friday evening. At the same time, Cincinnati’s Department of Buildings & Inspections is also expected to go door-to-door to access the structural damage that was done to various buildings in the neighborhoods that were hit the hardest by flooding.

CFD: 1 dead, 3 injured due to severe flooding on Cincinnati’s East Side CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Fire…

[2
57233,4,450,198650,15056,7053,45702,329091,4669,177401,45004,2310,451,20257,20852,3,8385,11901,200574,452,453
post-771033","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-breaking-news","tag-additional-detail","tag-breaking-news","tag-breakingnews","tag-cfd","tag-cincinnati","tag-city","tag-east-side","tag-emergency-call","tag-emt","tag-fairfax","tag-firefighter","tag-friday","tag-headlines","tag-help","tag-limit","tag-news","tag-other","tag-person","tag-severe-flooding","tag-top-stories","tag-topstories
["GET
