(WAFB) &#8211; Hurricane Hunters may have to take action as a tropical wave strengthens over the Gulf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">TROPICAL WAVE INVEST 91-L<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Invest 91-L has formed over the Gulf as of Saturday afternoon. This tropical wave, west of the Florida coast, is moving northwest at 3 mph and has max winds of 25 mph. Development of this storm is possible as it hovers over the Gulf, and it may become a tropical depression in the next few days. If this system becomes a tropical storm, its name will be Bertha.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"50 percent chance of tropical development in the coming days\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Y2ONQZ3TJRHSZDIDRZ3ULTFFMU.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>50 percent chance of tropical development in the coming days(WAFB)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">TRACKING 91-L<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Direct impacts for southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi are very low as of Saturday afternoon. 91-L is expected to produce heavy rainfall across parts of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia over the next several days. Hurricane Hunters could investigate this storm as early as Sunday, if needed.
