El Dorado County\u2019s largest healthcare provider is searching for a new leader<\/a> as Marshall Medical Chief Executive Officer Siri Nelson has resigned.<\/p>\n Marshall Medical on Friday announced Nelson stepped down from her role as CEO and president. She has held the position for about seven years, according to a news release. Martin Entwistle, Marshall\u2019s chief of medical affairs officer, will serve as an interim CEO effective immediately while the board seeks a permanent replacement.<\/p>\n \u201cSiri has led Marshall with vision, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to our patients, employees, and community,\u201d said Tom Cumpston, chair of the Marshall Board of Directors. \u201cOn behalf of the Board, I want to thank Siri for her leadership and the lasting impact she has made on this organization and community. We are grateful for her continued support during this leadership transition and are confident Marshall is well positioned for continued success.\u201d<\/p>\n Nelson called serving Marshall one of the \u201cgreatest privileges\u201d of her career, saying she\u2019s proud of those who helped along the way.<\/p>\n \u201cMarshall\u2019s greatest strength has always been its people, and I am confident that the organization will continue to fulfill its vision of creating a world where everyone can achieve their highest-desired state of health and well-being,\u201d Nelson wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n The exiting executive was paid more than $650,000 in fiscal year 2023, according to Marshall Medical\u2019s tax filings.<\/p>\n In a statement, Entwistle says he plans to maintain Marshall\u2019s focus on providing care for patients and supporting employees.<\/p>\n \u201cI look forward to working closely with our leadership team and staff to ensure a seamless transition while building on the strong foundation that has been established,\u201d Entwistle said.<\/p>\n A change at Marshall Medical comes as a sale tax measure initially spearheaded by the organization<\/a> could go before El Dorado County voters this November, according to the Mountain Democrat newspaper.
