They said attacks targeting commercial shipping had<br \/>\nendangered civilians and seafarers and violated international law and UN<br \/>\nSecurity Council Resolution 2817. <\/p>\n<p>Both sides pledged to continue coordinating efforts to<br \/>\nsafeguard freedom of navigation and international maritime security, renewing<br \/>\ncalls for restraint, dialogue, and diplomacy to ease regional tensions.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the United States issued an urgent worldwide<br \/>\nsecurity alert for citizens, warning of a potential escalation after<br \/>\nintelligence suggested Iran could target additional US interests abroad.
