SEATTLE, Wash. \u2014 A raccoon named Jimothy has become a local sensation in Seattle after a Ballard video spread widely online.<\/p>\n
Kiana Hall recorded the video after spotting an animal coming out from under a car. She said she did not realize at first that she was looking at a raccoon.<\/p>\n
“I thought he was a cat, actually, at first. And that’s why I was recording. Because I just love cats. He had come out from under a car and I wanted to see what the cat looked like. And then I realized that wasn’t the shape of a cat,” Hall said.<\/p>\n
Wildlife experts said the animal is likely a male raccoon with a spinal condition that shortened his body.<\/p>\n
Hall explained that the name Jimothy fit him. Locals and businesses embraced him with murals and tattoos.
