Now, the NC Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC) needs your help finding these snakes in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Biologists\u00a0with the WRC are asking the public to report sightings of these snakes to identify where populations remain strong and determine areas for future monitoring and possible conservation efforts.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/aaae5827-5f49-4959-9c51-1ee34572dfb4.jpeg\" alt=\"Pierson Hill\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Rainbow snakes are restricted to the Coastal Plain and Sandhills regions of North Carolina and are typically found in and around flowing waterways, but are becoming increasingly rare. <\/p>\n<p>You can report a rainbow snake sighting by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/survey123.arcgis.com\/share\/ad59d678b4a14877bf61b365ca69f241\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">completing this survey<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The WRC says the snake is neither dangerous nor venomous.
