HOLLY, Mich. \u2013 The Village of Holly has issued a village-wide boil water advisory effective immediately following a water main break on Marion Drive.<\/p>\n
The advisory issued on Monday (July 20) applies to all Village water customers as a precaution while crews work to address the issue and restore normal water system operations.<\/p>\n
Residents are advised to boil tap water before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, preparing food, or providing water to pets.<\/p>\n
Officials recommend bringing water to a rolling boil for at least one minute and allowing it to cool before use. Bottled water may also be used.<\/p>\n
Tap water remains available for bathing, showering, laundry, and general cleaning. <\/p>\n
Residents should avoid swallowing the water while bathing or showering.<\/p>\n
The Village Department of Public Works is working to repair the water system. <\/p>\n
The boil water advisory will remain in effect until required water-quality testing confirms the water is safe for consumption.<\/p>\n
Village officials said residents should not assume the advisory has ended until an official notice is issued.<\/p>\n
