Whoopi Goldberg made Anne Hathaway cry on Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe View\u201d<\/a> by praising her thriving career.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnne Hathaway, it\u2019s been wonderful watching you,\u201d the \u201cSister Act\u201d star told Hathaway, who appeared on the talk show with Matt Damon and Christopher Nolan to promote their upcoming movie, \u201cThe Odyssey.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been wonderful watching you grow up. And you have just blossomed, turned into this fabulous actress,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

The \u201cDevil Wears Prada\u201d star (seen above covering her face) was brought to tears by the \u201cColor Purple\u201d actress\u2019s kind words. ABC<\/p>\n

The \u201cDevil Wears Prada\u201d actress, 43, clasped her hands over her face and teared up, telling Golberg, \u201cNo, don\u2019t!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGirl! Yes! Yes! You need to know. You need to know,\u201d the \u201cColor Purple\u201d actress, 70, insisted. \u201cIt\u2019s something you need to know and remember.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hathaway, who is currently pregnant with her third child<\/a>, quipped, \u201cI\u2019d be crying [even] if I wasn\u2019t pregnant right now! I don\u2019t even know what to say. Thank you. You know how I feel about you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Golberg then turned her attention to Damon, gushing about how much she \u201cadored\u201d him from the first time she met him at the Oscars in February 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know you know my family because they lived around the corner from y\u2019all, and you feel like home,\u201d she gushed. \u201cThank you for always being upright and great and fabulous in what you do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last month, Hathaway confirmed she was expecting her third child<\/a> with husband Adam Shulman.<\/p>\n
