The findings were published Monday in the journal Circulation.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">The review also found that the potential benefits are most consistently seen with plain black coffee rather than beverages loaded with sugar, flavored syrups or heavy cream.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_food-drink_article_main-content_article-body_6_849811\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/food-drink\/scientists-used-electricity-coffee-discovered-what-makes-taste-good\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">SCIENTISTS USED ELECTRICITY ON COFFEE AND DISCOVERED WHAT MAKES IT TASTE GOOD<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;For most healthy adults, up to about 400 milligrams of caffeine a day, which is roughly five cups of black coffee, appears safe,&#8221; South Carolina-based registered dietitian Lauren Manaker, who was not involved in the research, told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/man-holding-coffee-cup-stands-on-balcony.jpg\" alt=\"A man with white hair and a white beard holds a cup of coffee as he stands outside on a terrace.\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Drinking five cups of coffee per day is generally safe for most adults, according to the American Heart Association.
