Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie\u2019s daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt<\/a> has filed to legally drop \u201cPitt\u201d from her last name.<\/p>\n

Viivienne, 18, submitted paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court requesting that her legal name be changed from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. <\/p>\n

Marcheline Bertrand is the name of Jolie\u2019s late mom, who died in 2007 after a battle with ovarian and breast cancer.<\/p>\n

In court docs obtained by Page Six, Vivienne lists the reason as \u201cpersonal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amid the filing, a source exclusively told Page Six, \u201cThis is what complete and total parental alienation looks like \u2014 it\u2019s awful, deliberate and unnecessary, only serving the interest of the parent feeling some perverse pleasure at excluding another caring parent from her children\u2019s lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

A source previously told Page Six, \u201cIf Brad isn\u2019t close to the kids, it\u2019s because of the harm that was done. The children are now adults and make their own decisions, which deserve respect. If they choose to distance themselves from him, it comes from that pain and harm.\u201d<\/p>\n

The filings mark the latest development in the years-long family rift that has unfolded since Pitt and Jolie\u2019s highly publicized split in 2016<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFight Club\u201d star, 62, and the \u201cMaleficent\u201d actress, 51, finalized their divorce<\/a> in December 2024, ending more than eight years of legal proceedings after Jolie filed to dissolve their marriage in September 2016.<\/p>\n

The former couple share six children<\/a>: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne.<\/p>\n

Several of the siblings have already taken similar steps.<\/p>\n

Shiloh successfully petitioned<\/a> a Los Angeles court in May 2024 to remove \u201cPitt\u201d from her last name shortly after turning 18.<\/p>\n

Maddox also filed legal paperwork<\/a> in May 2026 seeking to drop \u201cPitt\u201d from his surname, citing personal reasons in court documents.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prior to filing, he had already begun using \u201cMaddox Jolie\u201d professionally, including in the credits for the film \u201cCouture,\u201d on which he worked as an assistant director while his mother starred.<\/p>\n

On June 9, Zahara filed paperwork requesting to legally change<\/a> her name from Zahara Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Jolie.<\/p>\n

Knox had also appeared to distance himself from the Pitt surname before his twin\u2019s filing.<\/p>\n

Page Six exclusively reported in June that Knox used the name \u201cKnox Jolie\u201d on his high school diploma after graduating from Fusion Academy in Los Angeles. But he has not filed any legal paperwork to change his name. Terma, SL \/ BACKGRID<\/p>\n

A source told Page Six at the time that Knox celebrated the milestone alongside Jolie, his older siblings Pax and Zahara, and his twin sister, Vivienne.<\/p>\n

Vivienne similarly dropped her father\u2019s last name<\/a> publicly in May 2024 when she was credited as \u201cVivienne Jolie\u201d in the Playbill for the Broadway production of \u201cThe Outsiders,\u201d which she helped her mother produce.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Pax remains close with members<\/a> of the \u201cF1\u201d star\u2019s extended family despite having a strained relationship with the Oscar winner.<\/p>\n

\u201cPax still has a relationship with his dad\u2019s side of the family and continues to spend time with them,\u201d a source exclusively told Page Six last month. \u201cHe recently joined his family as they went out to dinner and celebrated his cousin Sydney\u2019s engagement to Archimede Jerome.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the insider, Pitt\u2019s sister, Julie Pitt Neal, also attended the gathering, along with his niece Reagan Pitt and numerous other relatives.<\/p>\n

However, a second source told Page Six that while Pax \u201cstill has a relationship\u201d with his paternal relatives, he \u201cdoesn\u2019t have much of a relationship with Brad.\u201d<\/p>\n
