The filing marks the latest indication that Vivienne has distanced herself from the Pitt surname.

In May 2024, Vivienne was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for Broadway’s The Outsiders, which she helped produce alongside her mother.

Vivienne also isn’t the first of Jolie, 51, and Pitt’s six children to take steps toward dropping “Pitt” from her name.

Zahara is seeking to legally change her name to Zahara Marley Jolie, while Maddox is requesting to become Maddox Chivan Jolie. In 2024, Shiloh published an announcement in The Los Angeles Times to drop Pitt from her name and change it to Shiloh Jolie.

“It’s sad to see someone repeatedly publicize their successful alienation of their children from the other parent,” a source close to Pitt previously told PEOPLE.

Their petitions remain pending, with Zahara’s hearing scheduled for Sept. 28 and Maddox’s set for Sept. 14, according to previous court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Vivienne, who was born alongside her twin brother, Knox, in July 2008, is the youngest of Jolie and Pitt’s six children.

“I have six very individual human beings in my home. I am so excited about all the different stages and feelings and curiosities that they go through. Why wouldn’t you be?” Jolie told PEOPLE in October 2021. “We’re supposed to help them figure out who they are. And you can’t figure out who they are if you don’t enthusiastically develop with them.”

Angelina Jolie with children Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt, Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt attend “The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind” Special Screening on February 25, 2019 in New York City. The divorce was finalized in late 2024 after a protracted legal battle. However, they remain locked in an ongoing dispute over Château Miraval, the French winery they once owned together.

Earlier this month, Jolie argued in court papers obtained by PEOPLE that Pitt had mischaracterized her claims in an effort to obtain years of her financial records.

!["Angelina]("https://www.newsbeep.com/us/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/https://media.zenfs.com/en/people_218/d330dd2b7ada1a5465cfcf59161c813d.jpeg"/)
