{"id":779444,"date":"2026-07-23T07:25:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-23T07:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/779444\/"},"modified":"2026-07-23T07:25:11","modified_gmt":"2026-07-23T07:25:11","slug":"cardinals-ol-isaiah-adams-arrested-in-canada-on-four-weapons-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/779444\/","title":{"rendered":"Cardinals OL Isaiah Adams arrested in Canada on four weapons charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cardinals offensive lineman Isaiah Adams <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/cardinals-isaiah-adams-arrested-canada-gun-charges?campaign=Twitter_atn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">faces four weapons charges<\/a> after his recent arrest in Canada, the Associated Press reports.<\/p>\n<p>Adams, 25, was charged with possession of a firearm obtained in a crime, possession of a restricted\/prohibited firearm, no license while in possession of a loaded firearm and possessing a prohibited device, according to the Durham Regional Police Service in Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>Three others were arrested along with Adams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIsaiah is completely innocent in this matter,\u201d Adams\u2019 attorney Adam Weisberg said in a statement. \u201cHe had no knowledge of any firearm, and he will be fully exonerated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police concluded an investigation on Friday into a male believed to be in possession of a firearm and involved in drug trafficking. Two other people arrested were charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.<\/p>\n<p>Adams was expected to report to training camp with the team on Thursday, according to the news service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are aware of the situation involving Isaiah Adams,\u201d the Cardinals said in a statement. \u201cOut of respect for the process, we will refrain from commenting further at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adams, who was born in Ajax, Ontario, was a third-round pick of the Cardinals out of Illinois in 2024.
