Chadwick Boseman\u2019s family members are feuding over his estate, nearly six years after his tragic death<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to documents obtained by Page Six on Tuesday, the \u201cBlack Panther\u201d actor\u2019s two older brothers, Derrick and Kevin Boseman, filed a lawsuit on behalf of their parents, Leroy and Carolyn Boseman, against Chadwick\u2019s widow, Taylor Simone Ledward.<\/p>\n

The filing asks the court to remove Ledward as administrator of Chadwick\u2019s estate<\/a> and order her to distribute assets to Leroy and Carolyn.<\/p>\n

The documents allege that Chadwick\u2019s wife had not distributed her late husband\u2019s estate \u2014 including over $3.8 million in assets and cash \u2014 as ordered by a court back in 2022.<\/p>\n

Derrick and Kevin allege in the docs, filed July 17 in Los Angeles, that Ledward \u2014 who inherited 50% of the actor\u2019s estate \u2014 was expected to distribute the other half equally between Chadwick\u2019s parents, with each of them receiving 25%.<\/p>\n

\u201cNearly four years later, [Taylor] has still not distributed the estate,\u201d the documents read. <\/p>\n

\u201cInstead, [Taylor] continues to exert unilateral control over [Chadwick\u2019s] estate, denying [Chadwick\u2019s] family long overdue closure or participation in decision-making regarding matters affecting Leroy and Carolyn\u2019s interests in [Chadwick\u2019s] estate.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chadwick\u2019s brothers also allege in the filing that Ledward \u201cfailed to fully account\u201d for her late husband\u2019s assets, including \u201croyalties and residuals, image and intellectual property rights, real property, a previously undisclosed bank account, and other personal property.\u201d<\/p>\n

The brothers claim Ledward \u2014 who previously claimed Chadwick\u2019s assets included $241,000 in an IRA, $3.3 million in stock for Chadwick Boseman, Inc. and $151,000 in cash, deemed by the court as a \u201ctrue and correct\u201d accounting in 2022 \u2014 \u201cfailed to officially account for \u2026 numerous residual payments from SAG-AFTRA dating between 2020 and the present.\u201d<\/p>\n

Derrick and Kevin claimed Chadwick\u2019s widow is not distributing rights to the late actor\u2019s intellectual property and image.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese rights properly belong to [Chadwick\u2019s] heirs,\u201d the documents read, noting that they are \u201costensibly managed by Chadwick Boseman, Inc., a corporate entity completely controlled by [Ledward] and through which she continues to profit from [Chadwick\u2019s] fame.\u201d<\/p>\n

The brothers claim Ledward \u201cblocked\u201d them from \u201cpursuing lucrative business opportunities that might benefit [Chadwick\u2019s] elderly parents.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ultimately, they alleged, Ledward\u2019s \u201clack of transparency\u201d with them over the \u201c42\u201d actor\u2019s estate \u201ccreates the appearance that she is concealing assets from [Chadwick\u2019s] family and from the Court.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Page Six has reached out to Ledward\u2019s legal representation for comment and attorneys for Derrick and Kevin did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n
