{"id":781486,"date":"2026-07-24T08:46:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T08:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/781486\/"},"modified":"2026-07-24T08:46:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T08:46:08","slug":"sammy-hagar-has-a-message-for-david-lee-roth-after-tour-cancellations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/781486\/","title":{"rendered":"Sammy Hagar Has A Message For David Lee Roth After Tour Cancellations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"623\" height=\"625\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Sammy-message-dave.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-38800\" style=\"width:477px;height:auto\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">David Lee Roth\u2019s remaining summer tour dates have been canceled, with the exception of one scheduled appearance in Sturgis, South Dakota.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sammy Hagar has reached out with a message for his fellow former Van Halen frontman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">News of the cancellations broke Thursday morning, with shows scheduled for Dillon, Colorado; Clear Lake, Iowa; Louisville, Kentucky; and East Moline, Illinois all canceled.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Roth\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/davidleeroth.com\/tour\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">official website<\/a>, his August 7th appearance in Sturgis, South Dakota, remains on the schedule. No reason for the cancellations has been announced.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After hearing the news from Michael Anthony, Hagar posted a selfie video from home, drink in hand, speaking directly to Roth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHey Dave, Sammy here. I just got a call from Michael Anthony as I\u2019m sitting down having my favorite cocktail, and I don\u2019t have to tell you what this is [smiles and hold up his margarita, undoubtedly made with his own Cabo Wabo tequila], about your tour getting canceled,\u201d Hagar said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd I wanna say from the bottom of my heart, I\u2019m sorry. I hope you\u2019re well. I hope there\u2019s not a physical problem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sammy then offered some words that longtime Van Halen fans might not have expected to hear, praising Roth for being out on the road and keeping Van Halen\u2019s music alive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHonestly, Mike and I love the fact that you\u2019ve been out there doing it, supporting the greatest band in the world that we were both part of,\u201d Hagar continued. \u201cAnd, yeah, I\u2019m really sorry. That\u2019s fucked up. Supporting what we did in this band to keep this music alive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hagar then summed up the irreplaceable chemistry and personalities that made Van Halen what it was:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou and I, Mikey, Al, Ed, cannot be replaced.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He encouraged Roth to keep going whenever he\u2019s ready.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSo, when you\u2019re ready to carry on, you go, brother. I really do. God bless, brother.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roth returned to the stage in 2025 after several years away from live performing and continued performing shows into 2026.
