{"id":782719,"date":"2026-07-24T23:23:12","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T23:23:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/782719\/"},"modified":"2026-07-24T23:23:12","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T23:23:12","slug":"interview-with-the-vampire-renewed-for-season-4-as-queen-of-the-damned","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/782719\/","title":{"rendered":"Interview With the Vampire Renewed for Season 4 as Queen of the Damned"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/interview-with-the-vampire\/\" id=\"auto-tag_interview-with-the-vampire_1\" data-tag=\"interview-with-the-vampire\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Interview With the Vampire<\/a> has been renewed for a fourth season, AMC announced Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe renewal news came during the Comic-Con Hall H presentation of the show\u2019s third season, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/the-vampire-lestat\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-vampire-lestat_1\" data-tag=\"the-vampire-lestat\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Vampire Lestat<\/a>, which included executive producers Mark Johnson and Hannah Moscovitch, along with castmembers Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian and Sheila Atim. The third season just ended its run last week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe show was given a name change to The Vampire Lestat for season three to match the name of the Anne Rice novel on which the season was based. Season four will follow that trend and has been dubbed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/queen-of-the-damned\/\" id=\"auto-tag_queen-of-the-damned_1\" data-tag=\"queen-of-the-damned\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Queen of the Damned<\/a>. It\u2019s the third novel in Rice\u2019s Vampire Chronicles series and is a continuation of the story. The new season will focus heavily on the original vampire, Akasha, portrayed by Sheila Atim in The Vampire Lestat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tQueen of the Damned is also getting a new showrunner. Moscovitch will take the reins from Rolin Jones, who ran the show\u2019s first three seasons (Jones remains an executive producer). Moscovitch will executive produce Queen of the Damned with Johnson and Jones after working as a writer on seasons one and two and as an EP on The Vampire Lestat, specifically writing the characters of Akasha and Gabriella (Jennifer Ehle).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cIn The Vampire Lestat, Mark, Rolin, Hannah and this extraordinary cast delivered an unforgettable season filled with propulsive storytelling that captivated the passionate and engaged fans of this franchise,\u201d AMC Global Media\u2019s chief content officer and president of AMC Studios Dan McDermott said in a release. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to continue the journey with Queen of the Damned, one of the most iconic stories in Anne Rice\u2019s mythology, and watch our established and beloved characters confront Akasha with their world, and ours, very much hanging in the balance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWatch the teaser for Queen of the Damned below.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Interview With the Vampire has been renewed for a fourth season, AMC announced Friday.
