Portland Fire shooting guard Bridget Carleton showed off a bit Friday night during the WNBA All-Star weekend, posting a huge score in her opening round to make the finals of the 3-point shootout.<\/p>\n
Carleton was the second shooter to take the floor during the contest and set the bar high by making 21 of 27 (77.8%) to finish with 29 points \u2013 the high score of the qualifying round. She knocked down all five balls on her final rack and missed only once from the corner spots.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was just focused on taking my time and once you see the first few go in, I\u2019m usually pretty confident after that,\u201d Carleton said. \u201cIt was a good round \u2013 I like corner threes.\u201d<\/p>\n
She went up against Dallas Wings rookie Azzi Fudd in the head-to-head final round, and Fudd caught fire posting a 30-point round that saw her knock down seven \u2018money balls\u2019 that were worth double points.<\/p>\n
Carleton followed with a 19-point score in the final round to finish second.<\/p>\n
