At this point, the Nuggets should do absolutely nothing to their roster. Anything they do isn\u2019t going to improve the team. Getting rid of \u201cguys\u201d to bring in other \u201cguys\u201d does nothing more than put a coat of paint on the house. It might look different, but it\u2019s still the same house.<\/p>\n

Kiz: Josh Kroenke could\u2019ve bought LeBron James a yacht, but he was never moving to the 5280, any more than the Celtics were going to deal Jaylen Brown\u2019s exorbitant contract for the exorbitant contracts of Aaron Gordon or Jamal Murray. James is more than just another guy at age 41. But he ain\u2019t the \u2018King\u2019 any longer, although his ego can make him a royal pain in the arse. His move to Philadelphia was telling. He didn\u2019t join his pal Steph Curry at Golden State, because Victor Wembanyama and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander make the West too darn tough at the top. So Bron went East, where the Knicks won\u2019t repeat and every other contender looks weak. The move was strategic. And smart. But James has always tried to dictate rosters and rig the game in his favor, which is why it\u2019s ludicrous to compare him to Michael Jordan.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019re asking me, the Nuggets still need to trade Murray and Peyton Watson.<\/p>\n

Kiz: The only way a Murray trade has ever made sense to me is if he could land a package that would significantly overhaul the roster and change the team\u2019s personality. I\u2019m so old I remember when Vince Boryla set shock waves through Nuggets Nation by trading Kiki Vandeweghe. That deal ranks just behind the acquisitions of Alex English and Aaron Gordon as the best trades in franchise history. To be honest, I don\u2019t think this Nuggets front office has the nerve to break up the Nikola Jokic-Murray tandem.<\/p>\n
With the MLB trade deadline approaching, everyone on the Rockies has to be on the table, except maybe first baseman T.J. Rumfield, outfielder Cole Carrigg and shortstop Ezequiel Tovar. If Colorado can fleece the Boston Red Sox for catcher Hunter Goodman, do it. And third baseman Kyle Karros is a stud but, man, his value is high.<\/p>\n

Kiz: The Rockies won\u2019t lose 100! When\u2019s the parade? All kidding aside, I declared before the season if Colorado can win at least 63 games, that Paul DePodesta deserves to be named MLB exec of the year. My story, sticking to it. The trade deadline will give insight into whether DePodesta has grown too fond of players on what remains a last-place roster. I wouldn\u2019t swap Karros, who can be a foundational piece of the rebuild if his bat continues to improve. But as much as I admire the way 36-year-old Tomoyuki Sugano has pitched for the Rockies, if there\u2019s a contender willing to overpay for his right arm, you gotta pull the trigger.<\/p>\n

The problems with soccer? No. 1: An entire game can finish without a single point scored. No. 2: To an NFL fan, it looks like a bunch of guys just running back and forth. Boring.<\/p>\n
