The GoFundMe said Devey “was a cherished member of the Eagle community, known for his unwavering dedication to serving others.”<\/p>\n “He was a devoted husband to Linsey and a loving father to their four children. We brought 4 beautiful children into this world that have your eyes, freckles, and compassion. You were our hero and our hearts ache in your absence. We love you. We miss you. And as you said in your last words to me, ‘we\u2019ll talk soon,'” Linsey wrote<\/a>, alongside photos of herself by his bedside in the hospital and another from their wedding.<\/p>\n Devey had not posted on Instagram since June 1.<\/p>\n After playing at Memphis, Devey began his NFL career on the Baltimore Ravens<\/a> practice squad before being picked up by the Patriots in 2014, starting six games and winning the Super Bowl. He then had stints with the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, the Oakland\/Las Vegas Raiders and the Buffalo Bills.
