2026 was Arizona\u2019s most successful fiscal year in the state’s history, according to a new report by the Arizona Commerce Authority.<\/p>\n
Arizona saw an influx of economic development, with the potential for 26,000 new jobs according to an Arizona Commerce Authority report. This fiscal year also saw more than $109 billion invested into the state\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
ACA spokesperson Alyssa Tufts said the authority is trying to create opportunities for a range of specialties.<\/p>\n
“That sector is technology and innovation, semiconductor, aerospace, and defense, bio, biotech, and bioscience things like that, and so by doing that and diversifying the economy, we’re also helping to create high-paying, high-skilled jobs within these different industries,\u201d Tufts said. <\/p>\n
Tufts said the ACA is also implementing educational programs to increase the number of Arizonans entering these high-paying careers. She said a major goal of ACA was to expand industry in rural communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe work with companies that choose to invest and expand all across the state.
