{"id":786684,"date":"2026-07-27T04:36:10","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T04:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/786684\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T04:36:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T04:36:10","slug":"7-foot-alligator-struck-by-car-removed-from-hillsborough-county-roadway-median","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/786684\/","title":{"rendered":"7-foot alligator struck by car removed from Hillsborough County roadway median"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. \u2014 Drivers along a busy Hillsborough County roadway stopped to watch as deputies and a FWC alligator contractor removed a 7-foot alligator from the median after it was hit by a car.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened Sunday morning near Anderson Road and Waters Avenue, where Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office (HCSO) deputies assisted a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission nuisance alligator contractor.<\/p>\n<p>The contractor said the alligator appeared to have come from a nearby wooded area before it was struck by a vehicle.
