If you follow Tanganyika Wildlife Park on social media, you’re probably familiar with one of its young giraffes<\/a>, Dwayne, who famously refused to answer to his name. The park eventually started calling him Not Dwayne instead. So when a baby girl was born in mid-June, the keepers decided to let her choose her own name by calling out different options to see which one got her attention. Believe it or not, the name she picked was Dee Middle Name Wayne.<\/p>\n

Just days after Dee was born, Goddard, Kansas, where the park is located, was hit with some strong wind gusts. Still getting used to those long, wobbly legs, the tiny giraffe<\/a> stood close to her mom and did her best not to get blown around. Watching her concentrate so hard just to stay upright is equal parts hilarious and adorable, and it’s guaranteed to make you smile.<\/p>\n

We love that Tanganyika called her “freshly assembled,” which is a cute way of describing a newborn. Commenter @Sarah liked it, too, and said, “‘Freshly assembled!’ Omg, definitely adding that to my vernacular. LOL! Thank you!”<\/p>\n

Sweet Reactions to Dee Middle Name Wayne<\/p>\n

Like us, viewers were completely smitten with Dee and her attempts to stay in one place. @Chico Fuerte joked, “That’s a thin stance, my guy!” @Shovelist agreed, “Super wobbly!” @ry replied, “Please, she was just born, give her some TIME!”<\/p>\n

@Tara Vilmileya joked, “How I feel walking in heels,” and @Funcle Ester added, “Me with my POTS in the middle of the summer be like…”<\/p>\n

Another commenter pointed out, “I heard that this is how the trees learn to be big and strong when they grow up. Probably the same for baby giraffes<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

She may have been fighting the wind, but she definitely won over the internet.<\/p>\n
