\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Canadian animation outfit Animaginary<\/a> has teamed with Gersh<\/a> to represent worldwide rights on the adult animated feature film Getting Lost<\/a>, the television series Getting Lost: Lost Tapes, and the upcoming animated spin-off Not That Indian from Michael Mankowski<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAll three projects are written and directed by Michael Mankowski, alongside producers Mark A.Z. Dipp\u00e9 and John Schneider. Eric Garofano serves as executive producer across the feature film, television series, and spin-off.<\/p>\n

\n\tGetting Lost stars Kevin Smith, Dan Aykroyd, Russell Peters, and Kim Basinger, and is currently in production, with the production team aiming to complete animation later this year for a Sundance premiere.<\/p>\n

\n\tGetting Lost is described as \u201can R-rated animated survival fever dream blending psychedelic comedy, emotional storytelling, and experimental mixed-media animation, including hand-drawn animation and stop-motion sequences.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s really nothing else out there like this for adults right now,\u201d Aykroyd said in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s the kind of animated comedy audiences can watch together and genuinely have a great time. Michael\u2019s writing has this anarchic energy that feels completely original. And honestly, I think it\u2019s going to become a bit of a contraband hit with younger audiences too \u2014 the kind of movie parents will say kids shouldn\u2019t watch, which of course means everyone\u2019s going to want to watch it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe television series, Getting Lost: Lost Tapes, follows Bill as he discovers Uncle Bob\u2019s hidden archive of unaired VHS tapes after Bob\u2019s death. The synopsis reads: \u201cEach tape reveals a dangerous, psychedelic, and often illegal adventure that was never allowed to air, turning the series into both a wild global adventure comedy and a story about uncovering who Uncle Bob really was.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tNot That Indian is in development. The film is described as a standalone adult animated Bollywood-inspired spin-off television series that expands the world of Getting Lost through the character Swami Pastrami. The story follows a \u201csarcastic Toronto comedian who inherits a mystical locket containing a chaotic cosmic guide, forcing him into an unexpected journey across India where mythology, music, identity, and absurd comedy collide.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tMankowski added: \u201cWe\u2019ve always envisioned Getting Lost as something much larger than a single film. Partnering with Gersh and bringing Eric Garofano into the team gives us the opportunity to properly scale the universe, expand the storytelling, and position these projects globally.\u201d<\/p>\n
