What better way to celebrate than by adding a few more games to the list? A bunch of role-playing games are <a href=\"https:\/\/kotaku.com\/playstations-summer-sale-includes-a-ton-of-ps5-games-that-cost-15-or-less-2000716362\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">on sale for PS5 right now<\/a>, including some heavy hitters that only came out last year like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.<\/p>\n<p>PlayStation just refreshed its summer sale, which <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.playstation.com\/2026\/07\/14\/playstation-stores-summer-sale-arrives-on-july-15\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">doesn\u2019t end until August 13<\/a>. Here are some of the RPGs you can currently save a bunch on (assuming you don\u2019t already own them):<\/p>\n<p>  Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 \u2013 $28 (60 percent off) Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 \u2013 $40 (20 percent off) Digimon Story Time Stranger \u2013 $40 (43 percent off) Persona 3 Reload \u2013 $21 (65 percent off) Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader \u2013 $20 (60 percent off) Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter \u2013 $30 (50 percent off) Metaphor: ReFantazio \u2013 $28 (60 percent off) Live A Live \u2013 $20 (60 percent off) Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition \u2013 $16 (60 percent off) Disco Elysium \u2013 The Final Cut \u2013 $10 (75 percent off) Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord \u2013 $14 (65 percent off)  <\/p>\n<p>Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are both must-plays that haven\u2019t gotten cheaper than this, though if you aren\u2019t interested or already own them, $40 is a decent price for the very meaty, numbers-intensive Digimon Story Time Stranger. <\/p>\n<p>The above are all easy-to-recommend games, especially for the genre and their current respective discount levels. But if you want my real RPG sicko picks, I\u2019d also recommend the following:<\/p>\n<p>  .hack\/\/G.U. Last Recode \u2013 $10 (80 percent off) The DioField Chronicle \u2013 $24 (60 percent off) Resonance of Fate \u2013 $21 (40 percent off) Persona 3 Portable \u2013 $10 (50 percent off)  <\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll explain each pick briefly. .hack\/\/G.U. Last Recode is an HD remaster of the original PS2 trilogy which CyberConnect2 recently revealed will be making a comeback with a new game in a few years. The DioField Chronicle is a neat, top-down real-time strategy hybrid RPG that Square Enix should have never made but I have a big soft spot for. Resonance of Fate\u00a0is a bizarro PS3-era RPG from Tri-Ace that has a really cool hybrid action combat system with guns. Persona 3 Portable is an isometric demake that plays more like a point-and-click visual novel but is perfect for Persona fans who want a more old-school-feeling version of the game.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It\u2019s summer backlog season.
