Forces Ali al-Zaidi directed<br \/>\nsecurity authorities on Monday to <a href=\"https:\/\/shafaq.com\/en\/Iraq\/Iraq-investigates-attacks-on-Gulf-states-allegedly-launched-from-its-territory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">investigate<\/a> the Saudi Defense Ministry&#8217;s<br \/>\naccount. In a statement issued by Sabah al-Numan, spokesman for the commander-in-chief,<br \/>\nthe government said it was examining the available evidence and would take<br \/>\nlegal action against anyone proven to have been involved, in line with the<br \/>\nfindings of the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The statement<br \/>\nreaffirmed Iraq&#8217;s commitment to preventing its territory from being used as a<br \/>\nroute or launching point for any attack on neighboring or friendly countries.<\/p>\n<p>The Iraqi<br \/>\ninvestigation is proceeding on the basis of information provided by the Saudi<br \/>\nside, according to the statement. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier, <a href=\"https:\/\/shafaq.com\/en\/Security\/IRI-s-Saraya-Awliya-Al-Dam-denies-role-in-Erbil-Kuwait-attacks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Saraya<\/a><br \/>\nAwliya al-Dam, a faction within the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, rejected any<br \/>\nrole in previous drone attacks on Kuwait.<\/p>\n<p>Following<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/shafaq.com\/en\/Security\/Saudi-Arabia-intercepts-drones-launched-from-Iraqi-airspace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">earlier drone<\/a> attacks on Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in May,<br \/>\nPrime Minister al-Zaidi ordered the formation of a high-level investigative<br \/>\ncommittee and directed security agencies to take all necessary measures against<br \/>\nthose responsible if Iraqi territory was confirmed as the launch point.
