{"id":788015,"date":"2026-07-27T21:24:17","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T21:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/788015\/"},"modified":"2026-07-27T21:24:17","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T21:24:17","slug":"austin-fc-in-chaos-as-youth-team-player-on-player-sex-attacks-scandal-erupts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/788015\/","title":{"rendered":"Austin FC in chaos as youth team player-on-player sex attacks scandal erupts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Austin FC Academy players are being investigated for allegations of sexual abuse in the club\u2019s youth section. <\/p>\n<p>The investigation is being conducted by the Austin Police Department and the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>Austin FC Academy said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austinfc.com\/news\/message-from-austin-fc-academy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">in a statement<\/a> that it first learned of the youth-on-youth misconduct allegations occurring amongst Academy players in December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Austin FC Academy players are being investigated for allegations of sexual abuse in the club\u2019s youth section. Austin FC Academy<\/p>\n<p>The soccer team said after learning about these issues from families connected to the players, they \u201csuspended and expelled players, in coordination with MLS and law enforcement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They also reported the allegations to local enforcement, notified the U.S. Center for SafeSport and MLS, provided resources to parents and families and initiated an internal investigation with MLS on the alleged misconduct.<\/p>\n<p>Austin FC Academy building. Austin FC Academy<\/p>\n<p>The academy said they suspended all activities for the affected age group while everything was  beginning to be investigated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAustin FC Academy prioritizes the health and safety of our youth players above everything else,\u201d the statement said. \u201cWe continue to fully cooperate with law enforcement throughout its ongoing investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Austin FC Academy said in a statement that it first learned of the youth-on-youth misconduct allegations occurring amongst Academy players in December 2025. However, the investigation involves juveniles and remains ongoing, so at this time, we are not sharing further information,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The Austin FC Academy has five teams, ranging U-13 through U-18, that are a part of the MLS Next league.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s at least 100 players involved with the program, which is overseen by a separate coaching staff and leadership structure\u00a0from the senior team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Austin FC Academy players are being investigated for allegations of sexual abuse in the club\u2019s youth section.
